No pun intended. Maybe.
So worth it.
We don't have the whole cauliflower crust thing down yet, so we decided to go with Deliciously Ella's version. We're also lovers of Oh She Glow's butternut squash cheeze sauce and have yet to come up with improvements to it because it's just so dang good, so we stuck to her recipe too.
The two pair really well together, and the toppings add nice variety and texture. Sidebar: if you're ever in need of a snack and have leftovers of this sauce, apples dipped in it are SO GOOD. Sidebar over.
Note that you don't have to use purple cauliflower, but just look at how pretty it makes it! Your call.
KALE, APPLE, + ONION PIZZA WITH CAULIFLOWER CRUST AND BUTTERNUT SQUASH CHEEZE SAUCE
1 batch of cauliflower pizza crust
1/2 batch of butternut squash cheeze sauce (we recommend making the whole batch and saving the leftovers!)
1/3 - 1/2 of a red onion
1/2 of an apple
3 large kale leaves, stalks removed
Prep your butternut squash according to the instructions and roast. While roasting, make the pizza crust according to its instructions. While the squash and crust are in the oven, chop your toppings.
Once squash is tender, finish making the cheeze sauce. When the crust is done baking, top with sauce, apples, kale, and onions, and bake an additional 5-10 minutes. Devour!
