The Best Hummus Ever
2 15-oz cans garbanzo beans, skins removed (see notes)
1/4 cup tahini (see notes)
1/2 cup water
1-2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
Olive oil (optional, for topping)
Add all ingredients to a food processor or high speed blender and blend on high until creamy. Serve with a bit of olive oil.
- Removing the skins from the garbanzo beans makes the hummus super smooth and creamy. While not exactly necessary, we highly recommend you take the time to do this!
- We like to make our own tahini by baking raw hulled sesame seeds at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes until golden and blending them in a high speed blender or food processor until smooth and creamy, like nut butter. However, feel free to use store bought.
